Eva Bernhardsdotter is currently serving as the Desk Officer for Space and Defence Research & Development at the Swedish Ministry of Defence. In this role, she is actively involved in shaping Sweden’s space and security policies, particularly in the context of European Union initiatives. Notably, she has participated in EU-level discussions on the EU Space Strategy for Security and Defence, highlighting her engagement in international policy development.
Previously, Dr. Bernhardsdotter held the position of Space Programme Manager at the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), where she oversaw various space-related defense projects. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Materials Science, and she has experience working with organizations such as NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and the Swedish Space Corporation, focusing on microgravity and astrobiology research.

In addition to the Rymdforum conference from May 4th to 6th, the entire week will be filled with space-themed activities, lectures, music and entertainment for both residents and visitors. This Space Week will in many ways enhance both Trollhättan and Sweden’s standing in this field.
