Stas Barabash is Professor in Experimental Space Plasma Physics, Deputy Director General, Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) and Head of the Solar System Physics and Space Technology Program at IRF.
He has over 35 years of experience in planetary missions and planetary research. Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on 12 missions to Mercury, Venus, Earth, the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter.
Currently leading plasma instruments onboard ESA’s JUICE and BepiColombo missions. Main scientific interests include plasma interactions with bodies in the solar system.

In addition to the Rymdforum conference from May 4th to 6th, the entire week will be filled with space-themed activities, lectures, music and entertainment for both residents and visitors. This Space Week will in many ways enhance both Trollhättan and Sweden’s standing in this field.
